We are Robert, Julian, and Alexandra from m.i.k. IT – a company that has been developing robust GPS solutions for demanding applications for years. With Offroad-Sehnsucht, we connect technology and adventure.
Our roots
Our GPS trackers are specifically designed for harsh environments – especially for the construction and heavy industry sectors. To guarantee their reliability, we regularly test them under extreme conditions: network outages, vibrations, dust, heat, and shocks.
Since 2018, an expedition vehicle has accompanied us – our rolling laboratory combining office, hotel, and test platform. This hands-on experience evolved into a passion for travel.
The idea takes shape
During our test trips, we repeatedly encountered the same challenges: finding good off-road routes was difficult, information was incomplete, and maps were inaccurate. From this experience emerged Offroad-Sehnsucht – a portal that helps travelers discover, plan, and safely navigate suitable routes.
